Unlock Deeper Insight: Training in Jung’s Psychological Types

Our immersive training goes far beyond theory. It brings you into the heart of Carl Jung’s original model of psychological types—not just as a theory, but as a living framework.

We Don’t Put People in Boxes

Every person is truly unique. A GCI Profile highlights that uniqueness by assessing all eight of Jung’s types at work within an individual. Rather than reducing people to a single label, the profile reveals the dynamic interplay of gifts that shape distinctive patterns of behavior and point toward untapped potential. In our training, you’ll see how type dynamics are already alive and active in people’s lives.

What Jungian Analysts Are Saying

“Gifts Compass provides a highly developed and theoretically well-founded tool that allows for an understanding of typology which is far more accurate than other typology models. The Gifts Compass Inventory is comprehensively based on Jung’s writings and follows his psychological understanding of inner and outer characteristics, which implies a necessary understanding of often contradictory preferences. Especially the link to Jung’s theories of the individuation process provides a dynamic model which is highly useful when considering developmental processes.”

Senhor Berg

Diplomate Jungian Analyst, Denmark. President of the International Association for Analytical Psychology. Director of Training at the C.G. Jung Institute, Copenhagen; Denmark

“Gifts Compass has the outstanding merit of staying close to Jung’s original intention of linking psychological type theory to the individuation process. It is a brilliant contribution to the field of typological theory and practice. Of all the attempts to apply psychological type theory to models of counseling and coaching, this is by far the best.”

Murray Stein

Ph.D., Diplomate Jungian Analyst, Switzerland/U.S. Former President of the International Association of Analytical Psychology; former President of the International School of Analytical Psychology. Author of Jung’s Map of the Soul and many others.

The Training

To keep the learning both rich and interactive, you’ll prepare with short online lectures and carefully chosen films that bring type to life. By completing these before each class, our live, two-hour sessions can be devoted entirely to dialogue—exploring real-world applications with faculty and peers. This format gives you the chance to test your insights in conversation while also gaining fresh perspective from a diverse group of participants.

Many find that the training does more than sharpen their professional practice—it also brings deep personal clarity about their own gifts and growth. The result is an experience that is as transformative as it is practical.

The Films

We use films to illustrate aspects of Jung’s fluid and dynamic model of psychological types. “Billy
Elliot” and “About Schmidt” introduce the theme of individuation, then each of the subsequent films
considers type in the context of individuation.
