Jamie DunnDirector of Career Services, St. John’s College
I struggled my first year of college, studying the life sciences. Then I took the Gifts
Compass and completed the Discover Your Passion consult. Those assessments gave me a
renewed sense of purpose and direction. I changed my major to marketing and the next year, I
made the dean’s list.

Overview of the Life Atlas Program
Students complete a Gifts Compass Inventory to determine their individual gifts and match their Personal Profiles with
the Work Profiles in the Work Profile Database to find the best careers.
The Discover Your Passion assessment helps them narrow their choices to careers they could feel passionate about.
Connections through the Work Profile Database enable them to talk with alumni who are doing the work of interest.
